Lebanese soprano Hiba Tawaji stole the hearts of thousands of fans this year and she is not about to stop: a star is born and shines brightly.
Accompanied by a full orchestra, Hiba will perform hits ranging from the great Rahbani repertoire to Sting or Dalida. This most awaited show is conducted and produced by Oussama Rahbani and directed by Marwan Rahbani.

BOGRAPHY

Hiba Tawaji is a multi-talented singer, performer, actress & director born in Beirut Lebanon on December 10, 1987.
Being a coloratura soprano with a four-octave vocal range, Hiba interprets oriental & occidental music, in Arabic, English, French and other languages.

She graduated from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, IESAV, where she majored in audio-visual and cinematographic studies, earning her B.A. in 2012.
Her short movie “The Rope” has been in the official selection in many film festivals around the world, winning 3 awards: ZUMEFF (Abu Dhabi), Outbox (Lebanon), NDU (Lebanon).Since her teenage years she has been taking music & voice lessons with renowned vocal coaches around the world. As well as acting lessons in New York, Manhattan.
In 2010, she attended an intensive private jazz & gospel workshop with Emmy Award winner, Gwen Conley in Brooklyn, New York.
In that same period, she followed a three-month intensive acting workshop at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting (New York).
In 2012 she followed a 4-week intensive musical theater workshop at the New York Film Academy in Manhattan.

Her artistic career started in 2007 alongside the renowned & widely acclaimed Lebanese producer & composer Oussama Rahbani, son of the legendary Mansour Rahbani.
Since 2007, she has starred as a lead female role in 4 musical plays (produced by Mansour Rahbani & Oussama Rahbani) and released 3 solo albums (accompanied by many music videos) of a uniquely rich musical genre that mixed oriental & occidental music. Her albums reached the top charts in Lebanon and many Arab countries, gaining critics’ & public’s acclaim due to the diversification of musical genres from classical Arabic to pop & jazz, with rich orchestrations & poetic lyrics, all demarked & highlighted by Hiba’s unique vocal skills & interpretation.

In 2015, Hiba Tawaji participated at the famous TV show “The Voice France” (TF1), seeking international exposure and opportunities.
Reaching the semi-finals and unanimously considered as one of the most professional and biggest voices of the season, she has managed to win the hearts & respect of the French public & press. After the wide acclaim she received for her first performance on the show and a big standing ovation of all 4 coaches and audience, her Arabic speaking albums reached top charts in many European countries (France, Slovakia, Belgium, Switzerland etc…).

The media named her the “Mermaid of Beirut” and she has been featured in many European written media (Paris Match, Gala, Le Figaro, Le Parisien, Metro News, Voici, etc…) and on various famous TV shows (Canal + “La nouvelle edition”, D8 “Touche pas a mon poste” etc…).
Due to her great talent, professionalism and charm, during her participation at the French program, Hiba has caught the attention of the famous international label “Universal Music France” (Mercury) with which she is currently collaborating on an international crossover new album.
